Convergent plate boundary

Convergent plate boundary animated video

Learn about convergent plate boundaries with this video. In the theory of plate tectonics children are taught about convergent plate margins as places of compression, formation of fold mountains and frequently experience earth quakes. Due to forces of compression from within the earth's crust, rocks or plates are compressed and when they meet, material is forces to fold or some is subdued, further increasing the pressure at such boundaries.
